Quick access register file with 32 x 8-bit general-purpose working registers, which can be directly connected to arithmetic logic units (ALUs). During a single clock cycle, the ALU can be fed into two arbitrary registers, perform the desired operation, and then write back the result. It can provide efficient support for 8-bit, 16 bit, and 32-bit arithmetic.
